How can we help you?
Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy helps to restore movement and function when someone is affected by injury, illness or disability. It can also help to reduce your risk of injury or illness in the future. At our clinic, we focus on providing holistic therapies to help our patients with a quick recovery. We have a strong focus on exercise to increase mobility and strength. Our physiotherapists specialise in a variety of conditions:
• Musculoskeletal injuries and Overuse injuries
• Neck and back pain
• Hip and Knee injuries
• Migraines and headaches
• Balance and vestibular inefficiencies
• Cardio-respiratory conditions
• Exercise-based movements for muscle strengthening
Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy is a client-centred health profession that involves ongoing assessments to understand what activities you can do (and those you want to do), any current limitations, your goals/motivations and to offer advice/techniques about how to do something more easily and safely.
Our Occupational therapists (OTs) can prescribe devices to help you do the activities you want and need to do. They will make sure you can use the device in the best way to meet your needs. This means that you will get a total solution and not just a product.
Exercise Physiology
The aims of exercise physiology interventions are to prevent or manage acute, sub- acute or chronic disease or injury, and assist in restoring one’s optimal physical function, health or wellness. Conditions include:
• Cardiovascular Diseases
• Pulmonary Diseases
• Metabolic Diseases
• Neurological Diseases
• Musculoskeletal Diseases
• Depression and other mental health conditions
• Cancer
Remedial Massage
Remedial massage uses a series of techniques to calm the nervous system, loosen muscles and tendons and improve circulation. It is specifically tailored to you. This type of massage can remove knots, blockages, damaged cells and breakdown scar tissues, helping to speed up recovery and heal your body.
Dry Needling
Dry needling, also known as myofascial dry needling, involves inserting acupuncture needles into soft tissues such as muscles, fascia, ligaments, and tendons. It can be helpful in releasing chronically tight muscles and muscle spasms. Dry needling works by increasing blood supply to the tissue in much the same way as massage. The technique is different to acupuncture in that it is based on western anatomy and medicine and not Chinese medicine. It is based purely on Musculoskeletal conditions. Dry needling can be effective for the treatment of:
• Chronic Pain
• Headaches
• Muscle Pain or Spasms
• Tendonitis
• Back Pain
Casting
Our clinic provides a plaster casting service in Sydney. You can get your injuries assessed immediately by us. Casts and splints are orthopaedic devices that are used to protect and support fractured or injured bones and joints. They help to immobilise the injured limb to keep the bone in place until it fully heals. Our physiotherapist can apply any plastering or casting that may be required. No more waiting for countless hours at the Emergency Department!!
